Genuine Smiths electric water temperature gauge with black face, manufactured by Caerbont Automotive Instruments in the UK, the original makers of Smiths-branded classic instruments.

This gauge is the standard electric water temperature gauge used in centre binnacle Mini applications and is marked C-N-H for cold, normal and hot temperature readings. It is a great choice for restoring the correct Smiths dashboard appearance while keeping an eye on engine temperature.

IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE

This is the later style gauge with 2 separate wire tags on the rear.

The earlier type gauge had 3 connector tabs on one long brass strip for the wiring and also used 2 fixing screw threads in the back for mounting. This later type has only one centre fixing thread.
