• High capacity large impeller water pump to suit performance and standard classic Mini & Moke engines.

• Designed to circulate a greater volume of coolant than standard pumps, this upgraded aluminium-bodied water pump is an excellent choice for hard-driven street cars, performance engines and Australian operating conditions where cooling efficiency is critical.

• Unlike many aftermarket pumps fitted with cheap stamped steel impellers, these pumps feature a durable cast iron impeller for superior long-term reliability and performance. The larger impeller design helps reduce cavitation within the engine water jackets, particularly at higher RPM, while improving coolant circulation throughout the engine.

• The original Rover tooling used to manufacture the factory pumps has long since been scrapped, making quality high-capacity replacements like these the preferred choice among many experienced Mini engine builders.

• Important fitting notes for early blocks: Due to the larger impeller design extending approximately 1/2″ (14.03mm) further into the block, some early 850/997cc engines may require minor relieving of corrosion or material from the liner wall and possibly slight impeller clearance work. Always trial fit the pump without the gasket and rotate by hand to confirm adequate clearance before final installation.

• For even greater cavitation reduction and improved cooling performance, we recommend pairing this pump with the large diameter water pump pulley CAM6408, originally fitted to Cooper S and later A-Plus engines.

• NOTE: Clearance between the larger pulley and cylinder head should always be checked, particularly on engines where significant material has been machined from the cylinder head face.
