ROVER MINI CLUTCH ARM SHORT – SUITS VERTO ONLY [DAM5355MS]

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Short clutch arm to suit Rover Mini models fitted with the later Verto clutch system.

Late model Minis were fitted with the smoother operating Verto clutch setup, which uses a much shorter clutch arm than the earlier pre-Verto system. This arm fits into the flywheel housing and transfers movement from the clutch slave cylinder through to the clutch release mechanism.

The ball end of the clutch arm is a common wear point. If worn, it can cause poor clutch operation, excess free play, clutch drag or difficulty selecting gears. Replacing a worn arm is a sensible repair when servicing the clutch operating system.

IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE

This clutch arm suits Verto clutch systems only. It is not suitable for earlier pre-Verto clutch setups, which use the much longer clutch arm.

Always check the ball end for wear before refitting. If the clutch is incorrectly adjusted, hydraulic pressure can damage clutch operating parts, especially on earlier long arm systems. Check the clevis pin, plunger [DAM5353MS], slave cylinder and clutch adjustment during installation.
