PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Replacement boot lock mechanism to suit all Mini saloon boot lids.

This is the actual latch mechanism that the exterior boot handle fits into, allowing the boot lid to lock and release correctly. If your boot handle is loose, the boot lid will not latch properly, or the original mechanism is worn, damaged or missing, this is the part required to restore proper boot operation.

A reliable boot lock mechanism is important for keeping the boot lid secure, protecting the contents of the boot and maintaining the correct factory-style function.

FIXINGS REQUIRED

• 2 x 3/16″ UNF x 7/8″ screw, or 1/2″ if required, side mounting: [SE910161]
• 2 x 3/16″ spring washer, side mounting: [GFK1123]
• 2 x No.10 x 1/2″ self-tapping screw, top mounting: [GFK2262]

IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE

Check the boot handle, lock barrel, striker area and boot lid alignment when fitting this mechanism. A worn handle or poorly aligned boot lid can still cause locking problems even after the latch mechanism has been replaced.
