Factory Correct Design

Early Mk1 Minis manufactured prior to 1964 featured a lower valance without the corner cutaways beneath the bumper apron. From 1964 onwards, these cutaways were introduced by the factory to improve brake cooling and increase airflow through the front of the vehicle and into the engine bay.

This genuine B.M.H. panel incorporates the later cutaway design and will fit all applicable models.

Restoration Options

For owners restoring an early 1959-1964 Mini and wanting the original non-cutaway appearance, a quality aftermarket version is also available under part number [ALA4574].

For Mk1 Cooper “S” models fitted with the factory oil cooler, we recommend using [14A8308MS], which incorporates the correct angled stiffener arrangement as originally fitted by the factory.
