These aluminium “polka-dot” style tread plates were originally fitted to Minis to protect the door seals and help hold them firmly against the body. They also provide a neat factory-style finishing detail across the lower door opening.

Over time, original tread plates can become bent, scratched, corroded or missing altogether. Replacing them helps tidy up the interior entry area while giving the door seal the support it needs to sit correctly.
