PRODUCT OVERVIEW

High-quality front windscreen rubber to suit later Rover Mini models, fitted from late 1992 onwards and used on all MPI Minis from 1996 onwards.

This later-style windscreen seal has an extra outer lip, giving a neater seal line and helping reduce windscreen and panel vibration noise. It was also designed to improve sealing around the windscreen aperture and help reduce water leaks.

Our windscreen rubbers are sourced from a proven UK supplier and have been tried and tested for over 20 years. Beware of cheap rubbers, as poor-quality seals can be difficult to fit, may not sit correctly and can lead to water leaks or premature perishing.

IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE

Fit the rubber to the body first, then fit the glass into the rubber.

This later seal can hold water under the extra lip if the rubber becomes hard, perished or weathered. If left too long, this can contribute to rust around the windscreen scuttle and body aperture. For this reason, many owners choose to fit the earlier-style windscreen rubber [CZH1719MS] to help reduce trapped moisture.

MAINTENANCE NOTE

Although windscreen rubber replacement can be a difficult and unpleasant job, screen rubbers and seals should be checked regularly and replaced when they become hard, cracked, perished or no longer seal correctly.

Storage conditions, weather exposure and vehicle use can all affect how long a windscreen rubber lasts.
