MINI & MOKE STEPPED BRAKE DRUM – [GDB106]

Stepped brake drum to suit Mini and Moke models using the 1″ built-in spacer drum.

This drum is commonly used as the rear brake drum on post-1984 Minis, as well as Mini Cooper S and 1275GT models. It features the built-in 1″ spacer design and suits standard 1-1/4″ rear brake shoes.

A worn, scored or oversized brake drum can reduce braking performance, cause vibration, poor pedal feel or uneven braking. Replacing damaged drums with new items helps restore proper brake shoe contact and safer braking operation.

FITMENT INFORMATION

This drum will also fit the front or rear of non-S Mini models using 1-1/4″ shoes, or the front of twin-leading drum brake cars using 1-1/2″ shoes [GBS102].

When fitted to the front of early drum brake Minis, the built-in spacer increases the front track width.

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE

Brake drum internal diameter must be checked before fitting. If the drum has been machined beyond the legal limit of +1.5mm / .060″, it should be replaced.

Always inspect the brake shoes, wheel cylinders, return springs, adjusters and brake hoses during installation, then correctly adjust and test the brakes before road use.
