Late Mini Dual Circuit Master Cylinder with Metric Unions

This dual circuit brake master cylinder suits late Classic Mini models fitted with the diagonal split brake system and square plastic reservoir.

It is the later metric union type, recognised by the rectangular reservoir and small cap arrangement. This style was fitted to Minis from approximately late 1975 to 1980, with some export models using it through to around 1982.

Important Switch Note

This master cylinder does not come with the switch.

The original switch fitted into the body is now obsolete and no longer available. This unit is supplied with a blanking bolt fitted in place of the switch.

Fitment Notes

Earlier dual circuit Minis, including many Canadian and export models, may use [GMC168], which has imperial fittings. Please check your existing master cylinder and brake pipe unions before ordering.

Brake Fluid Warning

Use only DOT4 or DOT5.1 brake fluid.

Do not use silicone brake fluid or racing fluids such as Castrol SRF, as these cylinders are not designed for them.
