Genuine RHP outer support bearing for the first motion shaft in Mini and Moke gearbox applications.

This quality bearing supports the first motion shaft and is supplied with the bearing and matching outer race. When replacing this bearing, the outer race must also be replaced to ensure correct fitment, support and long-term reliability.

A genuine RHP bearing is the right choice for gearbox rebuilds where quality matters. Beware of cheaper copies, as poor-quality bearings can lead to premature wear, noise and gearbox issues.

WHY CHOOSE A GENUINE RHP BEARING?

The outrigger bearing is a critical gearbox support bearing. If it is worn, noisy or poor quality, it can affect first motion shaft support and overall gearbox reliability.

Using a genuine RHP bearing gives better confidence during a gearbox rebuild and helps avoid the risk of premature failure from cheaper aftermarket copies.

IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE

You must replace the outer race when fitting the new bearing. Do not reuse the old outer race with a new bearing.

A common workshop method for removing the old race is to thoroughly clean the housing, remove the circlip, then heat the housing carefully to around 150°C / 300°F for approximately 10 minutes. Once heated, the housing can be struck engine-side down onto a flat piece of wood, allowing the old race to drop out.

The new outer race can be chilled before fitting to make installation easier. Always fit the race squarely and ensure the retaining clip is correctly seated.
