High flow water pump to suit most Mini and Moke A-Series engines, designed to improve coolant circulation and reduce cavitation at higher RPM.

This upgraded water pump features a PPS glass-filled plastic impeller, similar to the type used by Jaguar and Aston Martin. The lighter impeller reduces load on the pump bearings, while the triple lip seal helps provide better sealing and more controlled coolant flow through the rev range.

With its larger impeller design, this pump moves more coolant than the early standard [GWP132] water pump, making it a smart upgrade for road, performance and high-revving engines where cooling reliability matters.

WHY CHOOSE A HIGH FLOW WATER PUMP?

A high capacity water pump helps circulate a greater volume of coolant through the engine, which can reduce hot spots and cavitation in the water jacket, especially at higher RPM.

This is a worthwhile upgrade for tuned engines, warm-climate vehicles, hard-driven Minis and Mokes, or any rebuild where improved cooling performance is preferred over a basic standard pump.

IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE

This water pump fits all 1275cc blocks and most small bore blocks, except some early 850cc and 997cc engines.

The larger impeller protrudes into the block slightly more than 1/2″, approximately 14.03mm. Early small bore blocks may require minor relieving of corrosion or material from the liner wall and, if necessary, slight impeller clearance work. Always test fit the pump loosely without the gasket and spin it by hand to confirm clearance before final installation.

PULLEY & CYLINDER HEAD NOTE

Further reduction in cavitation can be achieved by using the larger diameter water pump pulley [CAM6408], as originally fitted to UK Cooper S models and later reintroduced on A-Plus engines.

Always check clearance between the pulley and cylinder head, especially if the cylinder head face has been heavily machined.

Small bore engines fitted with [12G940] cylinder heads cannot use [CAM6408]. In these applications, the top edge of the high capacity water pump may need to be modified so the [12G940] head does not rest on the pump. Allow at least 1/16″ clearance to ensure the head seals correctly.
