PRODUCT OVERVIEW

CV joint and gaiter kit to suit Mini and Moke models fitted with front drum brakes, as well as early 997 / 998 Cooper models fitted with 7″ front disc brakes.

This is the correct outer CV joint type for pre-1984 drum brake Minis and early Cooper disc brake applications. It is supplied with the heavy duty gaiter and the large 1-1/16″ hub nut, making it a practical replacement when repairing worn, noisy or damaged front driveline components.

These are EU-made CV joints, not the cheap Chinese or Asian type often offered, making them a better choice for quality repairs and long-term reliability.

WHY REPLACE YOUR CV JOINT?

A worn CV joint can cause clicking, knocking or vibration from the front end, especially when turning or accelerating under load.

Replacing the CV joint helps restore smooth power delivery through the driveshaft and keeps the front driveline operating correctly.

IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE

This CV joint suits drum brake Minis and Mokes, as well as early Cooper 997 / 998 models with 7″ disc brakes.

It is not the correct CV joint for later 7.5″ or 8.4″ disc brake setups. Please check your brake type before ordering.

Although a gaiter is supplied, we recommend using the CV strap kit [CVBC-01], as the clamps supplied with many CV kits are generally considered throw-away items.
