PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Quality EN24 drive flange to suit Mini and Moke models fitted with 8.4″ non-vented front disc brakes.

This drive flange is fitted to 8.4″ disc brake front hubs and forms an important part of the front suspension and driveline assembly. It connects the CV joint and driveshaft to the front wheel, while also providing the outer thrust surface for the front wheel bearings.

Because the wheel bearing runs against the drive flange, condition is critical. If the bearings become loose, worn or incorrectly adjusted, the inner race can spin on the flange and machine a groove into the bearing surface. This damage can sometimes look so neat that it is mistaken for a factory-machined feature, but once worn, the flange should be replaced.

WHY REPLACE IT?

A worn drive flange can cause bearing problems, looseness, vibration and poor front hub reliability. In severe cases, the internal splines can also wear or slip, allowing the CV joint to spin without properly driving the wheel.

When rebuilding front hubs or replacing worn wheel bearings, always inspect the drive flange carefully. If the bearing surface has grooves, steps or visible wear, replacing the flange is the safest and most reliable repair.

IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE

This drive flange suits 8.4″ non-vented disc brake cars only and does not suit Turbo applications.

Always check the wheel bearings, CV joint splines, hub condition and bearing adjustment during installation.
