Sports ignition coil to suit Mini and Moke models with non-ballast ignition systems up to 1982.

A standard ignition coil can only deliver so much spark energy, especially on engines with higher compression, performance upgrades or less-than-perfect fuel mixtures. This sports coil is a direct replacement upgrade designed to give stronger ignition performance than a standard coil.

It is a sensible upgrade for performance road engines, tuned Minis and Mokes, or any early non-ballast ignition setup where a better-quality coil is required.

IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE

This coil can only be used on Minis and Mokes up to 1982 fitted with a non-ballast ignition system.

Do not use this coil with factory electronic distributors. For performance vehicles fitted with ballast ignition from 1982 onwards, use [MSC110] or [DLB111].

RELATED PART

The original-style coil bracket [12G2994], with welded-on lug nuts, is available separately and suits the factory-style mounting used from 1969 to 1995.
