MINI & MOKE 43D4 DISTRIBUTOR- ELECTRONIC- MECHANICAL ADVANCE

This distributor is a mechanical advance electronic distributor. Normally fitted to later Leyland mini’s & mokes (from 1976 to 1982) when they used the mechanical weights instead of the vacuum advance setup. Will fit any A series car.

Supplier notes: “These units are factory tested. Used correctly they do not give trouble. They are only a switch. The only things that kill them are

1. Connecting them in reverse polarity.

2. Using a too low resistance or faulty old coil which overloads them.

3. Doing a static timing test the old fashion way using a test lamp which causes voltage to flow in reverse through bulb as soon as the switch. Circuit is opens and blows it straight away.

Unfortunately, people never admit to any of the above. It is an electronic part which one cannot give warranty when fitted by third party. It has not left here faulty.”
