Genuine Mini Spares copper head gasket to suit Mini and Moke small bore A-Series engines.

This copper head gasket suits 850cc, 997cc, 998cc and 1100cc engines and has a compressed volume of 3.35cc. Copper head gaskets are widely regarded as an excellent choice for classic A-Series engines, offering strong sealing performance when fitted correctly to properly prepared surfaces.

The original Payen stamped gasket [TAM2121] is now obsolete, but this UK-made gasket is manufactured to the original specification drawings with modern updates for improved reliability. It features correct combustion sealing and oil fire rings, making it a quality replacement for engine rebuilds, cylinder head servicing or head gasket repairs.

IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE

If you are experiencing repeated head gasket failure, check that the head studs have not pulled the threads up from the block. The stud holes should be checked and countersunk before refitting the studs if required.

Do not fill the radiator or engine with water until the engine is ready to start, as this helps allow the gasket to seal properly during initial start-up.

INSTALLATION NOTE

For best results, always fit to clean, flat and correctly prepared block and cylinder head surfaces. Use the correct torque sequence and settings for your engine.
