High-performance 280lb dual valve spring set for Mini and Moke race and fast road engine builds.

These springs are designed for specialised performance use, particularly where modern high-lift, short-duration camshafts are being used. Older performance valve springs can struggle with these cam profiles, often creating problems with spring crush, low seat pressure and valve float at high RPM.

Manufactured from high-grade silicon wire, these springs offer excellent resistance to fatigue and breakage, making them a strong choice for serious A-Series engine builds where valve control is critical.

WHY CHOOSE THESE VALVE SPRINGS?

Modern camshaft profiles place much higher demands on the valve train. These 280lb dual springs help maintain better valve control at high RPM, reducing the risk of valve float and unstable valve operation.

They are designed to simplify fitment by allowing direct installation to the cylinder head, while still providing the spring pressure needed for serious performance use.

IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE

These valve springs are for specialised race and fast road use only.

They can be fitted directly to the cylinder head with no fear of spring crush, provided the spring seats have not been previously machined. If the valve spring seats or valve seats in the head have already been machined, the springs must be checked and re-shimmed to the correct fitted length.

Spacer shims are available to increase valve seat pressure and overall spring rate where required.

TECH NOTE

Bottom collars for the inner springs are no longer required when using the [C-AEA526] and [C-AEA527] silicon wire spring range, as the inner springs are designed as a slight interference fit and are friction damped.
