Never replace a camshaft without installing new cam followers and coating with EP90 or cam lube. You might ask why when you cannot see any wear that they should be replaced. The cam follower base is very complex and contrary to popular belief the surface is not flat, but it is actually convex with a very thin chamfer on the seat to work better. The dome shape of the bottom of the cam follower is intended to keep the lifter rotating as it goes up and down.
