$59.95
SKU: GEG300

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Genuine performance copper / steel head gasket to suit Mini and Moke 1275 large bore A-Series engines.

This gasket is based on the original [AF460] pre-2000 design and the old Payen Special Tuning [C-AHT188] gasket, but updated using modern tooling, non-asbestos materials and improved sealing technology.

Designed for strong, reliable sealing in performance applications, this gasket is a proven choice for tuned 1275, 1380cc and large bore engine builds where a standard gasket may not be enough.

WHY CHOOSE THIS HEAD GASKET?

Head gasket failure can be costly and frustrating, especially on high-compression or performance A-Series engines. This gasket was developed to provide better sealing reliability than many modern alternatives, using superior sealing rings and updated manufacturing methods.

It has been successfully used in demanding performance applications, including 1380cc 8-port race engines, making it a strong option for serious engine builders.

IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE

If you are experiencing repeated head gasket failure, always check that the head studs have not pulled the threads up from the block. The stud holes should be inspected and countersunk before refitting the studs.

Do not fill the radiator or engine with water until the engine is ready to be started, as this helps allow the gasket to seal correctly during initial installation.
