PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Water heated alloy inlet manifold to suit Mini and Moke single SU carburettor conversions.

This manifold is designed to suit both 1-1/2″ and 1-3/4″ SU carburettors, including HIF38 and HIF44 setups. It was dyno tested and developed for the Stage 1 kit [C-STN17], with runner sizing designed to provide excellent airflow while maintaining strong gas speed.

The water heated design helps warm the alloy manifold, improving fuel atomisation, especially when extractors are fitted. This is important because the original inlet manifold was heated by being mounted to the exhaust manifold.

WHY CHOOSE THIS MANIFOLD?

A good inlet manifold is essential for getting the best from a single SU carburettor setup. This manifold has been developed to give strong airflow without killing gas speed, helping improve throttle response, drivability and overall engine performance.

It is especially useful when fitting extractors, as the water heating helps compensate for the loss of exhaust manifold heat. This allows the alloy manifold to warm properly and helps the fuel mixture stay better atomised.

IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE

The supplied 5/8″ UNF blanking plug should be fitted with thread locker. Take care not to wind the plug all the way down into the manifold.

If using a thick carburettor spacer, the slightly longer [CHS2515] studs are recommended.

This manifold suits all small bore engines and large bore engines up to fast road specification, depending on cylinder head intake port size.
