Dual valve spring set to suit Mini and Moke performance A-Series engine builds using modern high-lift, short-duration camshafts.

Modern camshaft designs have created problems for older-style performance valve springs. As cam lift increased, spring crush became an issue, and reducing spring crush often resulted in low valve seat pressure, which can cause valve float at high RPM.

These 200lb dual springs are designed to simplify that problem, offering strong valve control for performance road engines while still fitting directly to the cylinder head when the spring seats have not been modified.

WHY CHOOSE THESE VALVE SPRINGS?

Correct valve spring choice is critical when fitting a performance camshaft. If the spring pressure is too low, the engine can suffer valve float at high RPM. If the spring setup is wrong, spring crush and valve train damage can occur.

These springs are manufactured from high-quality silicon wire for excellent resistance to fatigue and breakage. They are designed to provide reliable valve control for high-lift camshaft applications without unnecessary complication.

IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE

These springs can be fitted directly to the cylinder head, provided the spring seats have not already been machined.

If the spring seats or valve seats in the head have previously been machined, the springs must be checked and re-shimmed to the correct fitted length. Spacer shims are available to increase valve seat pressure and overall spring rate if required.

TECH NOTE

Bottom collars for the inner springs are no longer required when using the [C-AEA526] and [C-AEA527] silicon wire spring range, as the inner springs are designed as a slight interference fit and are friction damped.
