MINI & MOKE MANIFOLD TO DOWNPIPE CAST IRON CLAMP – [GEX7046CAST]

Cast exhaust manifold to downpipe cast iron clamp including 2 x 5/16 UNF bolts & 2 x brass 5/16 UNF nuts to suit Mini and Moke models fitted with the single carburettor one-piece cast iron inlet / exhaust manifold.

This clamp is used to secure the downpipe to the exhaust manifold flange and is one of the most important parts when trying to eliminate exhaust leaks in this area. A worn, distorted or incorrect clamp can allow exhaust gas to leak at the joint, causing noise, fumes and poor sealing.

These cast-style clamps are the preferred type for this application, giving a stronger and more secure fit than many lighter or poor-quality alternatives.

WHY REPLACE IT?

The manifold to downpipe joint is a common exhaust leak point. Replacing the clamp with the correct cast type helps pull the joint together properly, reducing leaks, rattles and exhaust noise while giving a more reliable seal.

IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE

Always check your manifold type and downpipe size before ordering. This clamp is for the 32mm outside diameter pipe size and is not the correct clamp for later 1275 Cooper or Metro-style cast manifold clamp setups.
