PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Painted black twin SU heat shield set to suit Mini and Moke engines fitted with 1-1/2″ HS4 SU carburettors.

These heat shield brackets are made in a similar style to the original Cooper HS2 design, but are made to suit the larger HS4 1.5″ SU carburettor setup. They help protect the carburettors from excessive exhaust manifold heat, reducing the chance of fuel vapour issues and helping maintain more consistent running.

A practical and tidy upgrade for twin carburettor installations, especially on performance road engines or restored Cooper-style setups.

WHY FIT A HEAT SHIELD?

Twin SU carburettors sit close to the exhaust manifold, where heat can affect fuel temperature and engine running.

A quality heat shield helps reduce heat transfer to the carburettors, improving reliability and helping the engine run more consistently, preventing fuel vaporisation in fuel bowls particularly in hot weather or slow traffic.

IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE

These heat shields are made for HS4  1.5″   1” ½ SU carburettors.

They are not the original HS2 Cooper heat shields, although they are made in a similar style. Please check your carburettor size before ordering. HS2  1” ¼ S.U. heat shields are available on our website
