Complete In-Tank Fuel Pump Assembly for Injection Minis

This in-tank fuel pump with filter is designed to suit fuel-injected Mini models where the fuel pump is mounted inside the tank.

Originally fitted to twin-point injection models, this pump is now commonly used on both Single Point Injection SPI and Multi Point Injection MPI Minis, as the ECU adjusts fuel pressure demand electronically to suit the system requirements.

Suits Injection Models Only

This pump is suitable for SPI and MPI injection Minis only.

It is not suitable for carburettor models or vehicles using external electric fuel pumps.

Recommended Seal

When replacing the in-tank fuel pump, it is recommended to also replace the tank gasket/seal to help prevent fuel leaks and fumes.

Pump-Only Option Available

For customers who are mechanically confident and only need the internal pump section, a pump-only option is available under part number [WFX100811].

This option is generally around half the price of the complete pump assembly, but it will require more careful fitting and transfer of components.

Important Installation Note

One of the most common causes of failure in these pumps is water build-up inside the fuel tank. Modern ethanol-blended fuels can attract moisture, which may collect in the tank and cause corrosion, contamination, and pump failure.

Before fitting a new pump, we strongly recommend cleaning the fuel tank properly to remove any water, rust, or debris. Once fitted, regular use of the vehicle can also help reduce moisture build-up from sitting fuel.
