SKU: TSP100390

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Replacement 1st and 2ndgear selector fork to suit Mini and Moke rod change gearboxes.

The selector fork is a critical part of the gearbox shift mechanism, controlling the engagement of 1st and 2nd gear through the synchro hub. A worn, bent or damaged selector fork can cause poor gear selection, gear crunching, jumping out of gear or an imprecise gear change.

This is an important part to inspect and replace during any rod change gearbox rebuild, especially if the gearbox has had hard use, worn selector components or previous gear selection issues.

REBUILD ADVICE

When replacing a selector fork, always inspect the synchro hub, selector rod, detent springs, baulk rings and gear engagement faces at the same time. Excessive clearance between the selector fork and sliding syncro hub will cause gear selection issues.

Replacing worn selector components during a gearbox rebuild can help restore a cleaner, more accurate gear change and reduce the chance of future gearbox problems.
