Left-hand Mk1 door step and lower body repair panel to suit Mini models fitted with hinge-type doors.

This panel repairs the lower 3″ section of the body from the A-post through to the rear wheel arch, including the important door step and sill profile area that commonly rusts on early Minis.

The door step area is a major rust point because moisture, dirt and road grime can sit in the lower seam over time. Once this section becomes rusty or weak, it can affect both the appearance and strength of the door opening area.

WHY REPLACE THIS PANEL?

The lower door step and sill area is one of the most common rust zones on early Minis. Replacing this section properly restores the correct body profile, gives the door opening area strength again and provides the correct edge for the chrome trim to sit on.

This is an important repair panel for any Mk1 restoration where the lower body section has rust, previous poor repairs or missing original shape.

IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE

This panel is designed for cars with hinge-type doors.

As with all body repair panels, trial fitting is recommended before welding, painting or final installation.
