PRODUCT OVERVIEW

EN24 front drive flange to suit Mini Cooper S and 1275GT models fitted with 7.5″ front disc brakes.

This drive flange is used on 7.5″ disc brake Cooper S and 1275GT front hub assemblies, originally designed for cars running 10″ wheels. It is a key part of the front suspension and driveline, connecting the driveshaft / CV joint to the front wheel.

The drive flange also provides the outer thrust surface for the front wheel bearings, making its condition extremely important. If the wheel bearings are loose, worn or incorrectly adjusted, the inner bearing race can spin on the flange and machine a groove into the surface.

WHY REPLACE IT?

A worn drive flange can cause wheel bearing movement, vibration, noise and premature bearing failure. In serious cases, the bearing surface can become damaged enough that the hub assembly will no longer hold correct adjustment.

The wear groove can often look so clean and evenly machined that it is mistaken for a factory feature. If the flange has any groove, step or visible wear where the bearing runs, it should be replaced.

IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE

Always inspect the drive flange carefully when replacing front wheel bearings. Check the bearing running surface, internal splines, CV joint fitment and hub condition before reassembly.

Correct bearing setup is critical for long-term reliability on 7.5″ Cooper S and 1275GT disc brake front hubs.
