Replacement diff output shaft to suit Leyland Clubman and Moke models fitted with rod change gearboxes using plunge joint type output shafts.

The diff output shaft transfers drive from the differential through to the driveshaft assembly. While the teeth on these shafts rarely wear badly, the side cover bushes can wear and damage the shaft surface over time. Once this happens, oil leaks from the output cover seals are very common.

This is a smart replacement part during gearbox repairs, diff work or when chasing persistent oil leaks around the output covers.

WHY REPLACE IT?

A worn side cover bush [2A3538] can damage the output shaft surface, allowing oil to leak past the seals in the output covers [CHM85].

Replacing the damaged shaft during repair helps restore proper sealing and can prevent repeat oil leaks after the gearbox is back in the car.

Please check your gearbox type and output joint arrangement before ordering. This shaft is for rod change gearboxes using the plunge joint type setup.
