PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Competition head stud, nut and washer kit to suit Mini and Moke A-Series engines using an 11 stud cylinder head setup.

This kit is manufactured from EN24 nickel chrome moly steel and was developed to replace increasingly inconsistent standard head studs and bolts. For performance engines, high compression builds or any engine where head gasket reliability matters, a quality head stud kit is a smart upgrade.

The studs are made from selected high-grade steel and produced to exact specifications, helping give stronger and more consistent cylinder head clamping than tired or stretched original hardware.

WHY USE A COMPETITION STUD KIT?

Standard head bolts and studs can become inconsistent over time, especially in engines that have been rebuilt multiple times or run at higher compression.

These EN24 competition studs are designed to provide more reliable clamping force, helping pull the cylinder head down evenly rather than pulling the thread up. This can greatly improve head gasket life, particularly on higher compression engines.

The special thick washers are countersunk on one side to improve clamping and help reduce the chance of the nuts bottoming out on the threads.

IMPORTANT TORQUE NOTE

When replacing the original head bolt position with a stud, torque that stud only to the factory recommended specification of 25 ft/lbs.

The remaining studs can be torqued to 45 ft/lbs.

WASHER LOCATION NOTE

The 5 larger washers are fitted to the 5 short front studs.

The 2 smaller washers are fitted to the short studs at the ends of the rocker cover.

No washers are fitted to the long head studs.
