MINI & MOKE ROCKER SHAFT – HEAVY DUTY [C-AEG399]

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Heavy duty replacement rocker shaft to suit Mini and Moke A-Series engines.

This shaft is a direct replacement for the standard rocker shaft and is a significant upgrade over the factory item. It features a super accurate finish and increased wall thickness of approximately 3.7mm, giving improved strength and reduced flex compared with the original shaft.

A worn rocker shaft can cause excessive valve train wear, noisy operation and poor oil control around the rocker gear. Fitting a heavy duty shaft is a smart upgrade during cylinder head work, engine rebuilds or rocker gear servicing.

WHY CHOOSE A HEAVY DUTY ROCKER SHAFT?

The rocker shaft supports the rocker arms and plays a key role in accurate valve operation. As the original shaft wears, the rocker gear can become noisy and less stable, especially on engines with upgraded valve springs or higher performance use.

This heavy duty shaft offers better support, reduced flex and improved long-term durability, making it a worthwhile upgrade over the stock shaft.

IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE

Always tighten all rocker posts down evenly and progressively during installation. Uneven tightening can place stress through the shaft and may cause stress fractures.

The locating plug is in the second post position to help reduce flex and wear. If replacing an early original shaft with the locator in the first post, the post position may need to be moved. Ensure the oil feed through the cylinder head to the rocker gear is not blocked.

WORKSHOP NOTE

Split pins [GFK102] are used at the ends of the shaft to retain the rockers and posts. Spacers [AEG168] and [AEG169] are also available separately if required during rocker gear assembly.
