A+ IDLER GEAR SHIM .136/37 RED [DAM4824]

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

A+ idler gear thrust washer / shim to suit Mini and Moke A-Series gearbox applications.

The idler gear in all Mini power units must be set up with care, as incorrect clearance can cause noise, premature wear and possible gearbox damage. These thrust washers are made in different thicknesses so the idler gear end float can be accurately adjusted during gearbox assembly.

This red A+ type shim measures .136″ to .137″ and is part of the later specification Rover superseded to when upgrading the idler gear material on injection model engines.

IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE

Always measure the idler gear clearance during assembly and refer to the correct workshop manual before final fitting.

Do not guess the shim size. Correct idler gear clearance is essential for reliable gearbox operation, especially in rebuilt, performance or hard-driven Mini and Moke power units.
