Non-genuine mechanical fuel pump to suit pre-1990 Mini and Moke models with carburettor engines.

This fuel pump mounts directly to the engine block and is driven off the camshaft at the rear of the motor. It is a reliable aftermarket replacement for worn, leaking or failed original mechanical fuel pumps and is ideal for keeping a standard fuel system simple and factory-style.

A faulty mechanical fuel pump can cause hard starting, poor running, fuel starvation or fuel leaks. In more serious cases, a failed diaphragm can allow raw petrol to enter the engine oil, thinning the oil and causing severe internal engine wear. Replacing a suspect pump is cheap insurance compared with the damage a failed one can cause.

IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE

When fitting this pump, make sure the fuel pump lever is correctly positioned on the camshaft lobe and not sitting beside it.

After installation, check carefully for fuel leaks and confirm the engine oil has not been contaminated by fuel if the old pump had failed.
