MINI DRIVESHAFT COUPLINGS SIMILAR TO QUINTON HAZEL ROLLER TYPE – [QL5000PR]

Heavy-duty needle roller type driveshaft coupling set to suit Classic Mini applications.

Early Minis were originally fitted with rubber drive couplings [GCD101] to reduce harshness and vibration being transferred into the cabin. Over time, these rubber couplings can separate from the metal sleeves, allowing the driveshaft to run out of centre. This can cause vibration and may also allow the coupling to contact the transmission case or exhaust pipe.

These roller type couplings are a stronger alternative and are similar in style to the Quinton Hazell type design, using plastic / nylon end cups with needle roller bearings for improved durability.

WHY CHOOSE THIS COUPLING SET?

Worn rubber couplings can create vibration, driveline movement and clearance problems around the transmission and exhaust.

These roller type couplings are narrower than the original rubber type, which can help provide extra clearance when fitting an LCB exhaust manifold. The needle roller design also gives a more durable mechanical connection than old rubber couplings that may have started to break down with age.

KIT INCLUDES

• New U-bolts
• New nuts

IMPORTANT FITTING NOTE

U-bolts should be tightened to 8-10 lbf.ft.

Do not over-tighten the U-bolts, as this can damage the coupling assembly.
